Local buses and trains

The Borough is well served by public transport with excellent road and rail links and there are a number of different bus companies operating throughout the Borough.

Merseytravel co-ordinates public transport and acts in partnership with private bus and rail operators to provide public transport in Merseyside. Their Travel Centre, based at Huyton Bus Station, provides free leaflets, route maps, timetables and the opportunity to buy bus (including National Express), train and tram tickets, including the full range of Travelcards and season tickets.

This provides an easy way to get detailed full information about local and national rail services including train times and ticket prices.
